My Favorite Neutral Console Tables and Stylish Entryway Inspiration

Good Morning All! As the snow fell outside and everything was cancelled yesterday, I took the opportunity to hibernate a little and got some work done. Several of my current client projects involve the need for the perfect console table, so I have sourced many of late. While there are a myriad of different styles to be found, a common theme for console and entry tables alike, is to keep them compact and styled with panache.

I love this neutral effortless look that includes a beautiful wooden table:

This caught my eye for not only the stunning table (I am a sucker for all things bamboo) but also for the buffalo check stools:

This ornate entryway table is perfection, paired with animal print stools, the blue and white lamps and oo la la that rug:

This example demonstrates that neutrals are anything but boring:

And this Hamptons-esque example caught my attention with the crisp white walls and table creating the perfect backdrop for the blue and white vase to pop:

And finally, I love this mix of layered materials, the wallpaper serving as a stunning backdrop to the simple lines of the table, the carved mirror and the beautiful pair of lamps.

If you are also snowed in and are so inclined to start rearranging your furniture to model these styled tables (or maybe that is just me), this fantastic sketch by Melissa Boyer Interiors illustrates how to pull items together on an entryway table, console or end table like so:

Here are some of my favorite console or entryway tables, all priced less than $300!

Tray Chic!

Morning All! Happy Monday…you got this!! Lately, I have been feeling like I need to inject a little more pretty into some of the hardworking areas of the house. A quick pick-me-up (because let’s face it that is the speed life is moving at these days) is to break out those trays you have stored away and corral “like things” in a way that makes you feel both more organized and stylish! Think clean, not cluttered.  Some of the best areas to get the greatest impact are the kitchen, the washroom vanity, and the home office (all places things tend to linger). Here are some inspirational examples from around the web:

So pull out those trays you have tucked away and pick one area of your home to stylishly organize.  And don’t shoot the messenger but before you know it, we will be bringing out our holiday items like this adorable kitchen coffee set-up:

Family Brunch and Projects in the Works

Hello All! I am still thinking about the wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch we had with our family. It was so nice to get everyone together, and while we couldn’t be outside, it was fun to come together and celebrate the Moms.

Speaking of getting outside, it is gorgeous here today so I made myself several lists (doesn’t everyone?).  I know I get this crazy  quirky trait from my Dad who still organizes his lists by the weather.  Outside projects to be tackled are on one yellow pad, inside on another…naturally. So, in the midst of tackling home and office projects, I am helping my friend style her gorgeous house in advance of her bridal shower this weekend. It was a last minute, let’s do it! so all items had to be sourced locally, not even Amazon Prime could save us.  We hit Target, TJ, Michaels, and Lowes and I cannot wait to show you the styled result.  Here are some before and afters of their house that I worked on beginning last year, future posts on this to come (with sources):

This was a fantastic project from start to finish because I got to work with people I love, who were adventurous and creative with design and laying out everything from scratch was.the.best. Who knew choosing where the outlets go could make you giddy…oh wait that’s just me? Anyhoo, looking forward to styling this gem with all our fab finds! Sneak peek- we are incorporating this Ikea chair they fell for and the color is AWESOME in the space!
